SABINE DE PORQUEROLES
Diplômée des Arts et Techniques en 1990, Sabine Chautard, artiste peintre de Porquerolles depuis 28 ans, a son atelier situé sur l’île et l’ouvre au public durant l’été. Elle passe ses vacances en bateau avec sa famille, son carnet de voyage toujours sorti, en- semble, ils ont sillonné la Méditerranée, traversé l’Atlantique et reviennent toujours autour des îles d’Or comme on rentre chez soi. Elle expose ses bois flottés, cartes marines ou encore voiles de bateaux qu’elle a trouvé sur son sillage. Porquerolles étant son sujet favori, l’île voyage sur ces différents sup- ports de récupération.
A graduate of Arts and Techniques in 1990, Sabine Chautard, painter from Porquerolles for 28 years, has her studio located on the island and opens it to the public during the summer. She spends her holidays by boat with her family, her travel diary always out, together, they have crossed the Mediterranean, crossed the Atlantic and always return around the Golden Islands as one returns home. She exhibits her drift- wood, nautical charts or sails that she found in her wake. Porquerolles being her favorite subject, the is- land travels on these different recovery media.
XAVIER TEBOUL
Xavier Teboul, né à Marseille en 1967
Sculpteur autodidacte, céramiste dès la première rencontre avec la terre.
Dans son Atelier «Poisson d’Argile» à Biot village il crée et fabrique des poissons et des créatures ma- rines en céramique. Des sculptures stylisées à partir de formes élémentaires, le cube ou la sphère notam- ment donnant un côté BD ou Manga.
Faire vivre la matière avec des créatures drôles, vo- lontairement décalées est vraiment amusant.
Son inspiration vient du Monde de la Mer, les mots clés de son travail sont simplicité, mouvement, mul- titude, rondeur, jeu...
Xavier Teboul, born in Marseille in 1967.
Xavier is a self-taught sculptor, ceramic artist, a pas- sion dating all the way back to his first encounter with the material.
From his «Poisson d’Argile» (“Ceramic Fish”) work- shop in Biot, he designs and handcrafts a constantly evolving range of fish and sea creatures, his sculptures being stylised from elementary shapes such as the cube and sphere, and always with a uniquely comic or “manga” side.
Xavier finds great pleasure in bringing the material to life with his intentionally offbeat creatures, drawing his inspiration from the world of the sea.
