Tantôt photographe - reporteur qui parcours le monde, tantôt photographe - créateur qui s’ex- prime au travers de l’imagination, Maïlo créee ses photos montages uniquement à partir de photos qu’elle a prises depuis 1985, en voyageant sur tous les continents ... Son fil conducteur est de transcen- der le réel, élaborer des espaces imaginaires, faire cohabiter les improbables, comme si cela pouvait exister. Elle pointe également les contradictions de notre monde, de son évolution et de ses paradoxes... Chaque création devient une histoire... A travers ces montages, elle formule une question : se dirige- t-on vers : Une uniformité de la culture, de nos pensées, de la façon d’appréhender et comprendre notre monde, une standardisation des sources de la créativité ?????
Sometimes photographer - reporter who travels the world, sometimes photographe r- creator, who express- es herself through the imagination, Maïlo creates her photo montage only from photos she has taken since 1985, traveling on all continents ... her common thread is to: transcend reality, develop imaginary spaces, make the improbable coexist as if it could ex- ist. She also points out the contradictions of our world, its evolution and its paradoxes ... Each creation be- comes a story. Through these montages, she formulate a question: are we heading towards: a uniformity of culture, of our thoughts, of the way of apprehending and understanding our world, a standardization of the sources of creativity ????
PASCAL PONTOIRE
Pascal Pontoire est un artiste peintre installé à An- tibes, qui a longtemps travaillé dans le monde des films d’animation.
Pendant plus de vingt ans il est créateur d’ambiance chromatique et de décor pour le dessin animé et la bande dessinée ; ses travaux ont été exposés à Paris au Musée national des arts asiatiques Guimet et au Musée des arts asiatiques de Nice.
Mais c’est aujourd’hui sur des toiles que Pascal Pon- toire peut exprimer pleinement sa sensibilité artis- tique, inspiré notamment par les post- impression- nistes et les luministes.
Ainsi depuis 6 ans il offre à notre regard des images d’une Côte d’Azur transfigurée par son talent...
Pascal Pontoire is a painter now living in Antibes, who has formerly been working in the animated mov- ies world.
For more than 20 years he has been creating chro- matic atmospheres and designing sets for comics and cartoons ; his works have been shown in the Musée national des arts asiatiques Guimet in Paris and in the Musée des arts asiatiques de Nice.
Nowadays it is on canvas Pascal Pontoire expresses his artistical sensibility, mainly inspired by the post-im- pressionists and the luminists movements.
And so for the last 6 years, now that he is back in the south, he has been proposing us his paintings of a Côte d’Azur reinterpreted by his talent.
