SUR LE VILLAGE DES VOILES D’ANTIBES
CETTE ANNÉE ENCORE, LA LIBRAIRIE DERNIER REMPARTS PROPOSERA DES SÉANCES DE DÉDICACES ET UNE LIBRAIRIE EPHÉMÉRE PENDANT LES VOILES D’ANTIBES
Dernier Rempart est né de la fusion des librairies Masséna Antibes et Comic Strips Café; l’une géné- raliste et proposant de la papeterie et l’autre spécia- lisée en BD, Comics, Mangas et Jeux de société.
De cette fusion, deux établissements ont vu le jour: Dernier Rempart Littérature, BD et Pape- terie au 8/10 avenue Robert
Soleau et Dernier Rempart Jeux
et Mangas au 3 avenue du 24 Août.
Ils proposent sur deux lieux, en centre ville d’Antibes, une offre axée principalement autour du livre, la plus généraliste mais aussi la plus pointue possible. En effet, la fusion renforce la qualité du travail de chacun(e) de leurs collaborateurs(rices) que ce soit sur tous les domaines du livre (du roman classique au manga nouvellement publié), du jeu de société et de la pape- terie.
Cette fusion permet aussi
d’avoir un «poids» plus fort auprès de leurs parte- naires éditeurs et permettra de proposer davantage de rencontres d’auteurs, de dédicaces et d’événe- ments autour d’un livre ou d’un jeu de société.
Ce projet a été initié par la volonté des deux gérants, Jérôme Dugast et Laurent Parez, de pérenniser leurs librairies en renforçant et en dynamisant leur offre culturelle. Ils avaient été déjà partenaires sur de nombreux événements comme le Salon du Livre de Mouans Sartoux, le Salon du Livre Jeunesse de Juan les Pins, la création de la journée « Polar sur la

Dernier Rempart was born from the merger of the Masséna Antibes and Comic Strips Café bookstores; one generalist and offering stationery and the other specializing in comics, manga and board games.
As a result of this merger, two establishments have emerged: Dernier Rempart Literature, Comics and Stationery at 8/10 avenue Rob- ert Soleau and Dernier Rempart Games and Mangas at 3 avenue
du 24 August.
Offering in two places, in the city center of Antibes, an offer focused mainly on books, the most generalist but also the most specialized possible. Indeed, this merger reinforces the quality of the work of each of their collabo- rators, whether in all areas of the book ( from the classic novel to the newly published manga), board games and stationery.
This merger also allows them to have a stronger «weight» with their publishing partners and
will allow them to offer more meetings with authors, dedications and events around a book or a board game.
This project was initiated by the desire of the two man- agers, Jérôme Dugast and Laurent Parez, to perpet- uate their bookstores by strengthening and boosting their cultural offer. They had already been partners on many events suych as the Salon du Livre in Mouans Sartoux, the Salon du Livre Jeunesse in Juan les Pins, the creation of the «Polar sur la Ville» day ... and for
