THE ANTIBES YACHT CLUB
La Société des Régates d’Antibes est l’un des plus grands clubs de voile d’Europe. Sa vocation est de permettre la pratique sportive de la voile tout au long de la vie.
L’école de voile : Son École de Voile, d’une architec- ture remarquable, située au cœur d’Antibes et res- pectant son environnement, accueille chaque année plusieurs milliers d’élèves évoluant sur des supports adaptés à leur âge.
La compétition : l’équipe « Elite » de la SRA rayonne dans le monde entier. Elle accompagne les jeunes talents depuis les régates régionales jusqu’aux podiums olympiques et internationaux.
Le Club : La SRA puise sa force auprès de ses membres, qu’ils soient compétiteurs ou organisa- teurs ou même les deux parfois, qu’ils partent dé- fendre les couleurs du Club en Méditerranée et en Atlantique ou qu’ils accueillent les concurrents de nos régates de prestige.
La voile habitable : Le Port Vauban, abri exception- nel et esthétique, accueille la flotte de la Société des Régates d’Antibes, soit 250 bateaux régatant tout au long de l’année, aussi bien devant les remparts de la Ville que sur des plans d’eau lointains. La SRA participe à l’identité de la Ville d’Antibes Juan les Pins.
L’Handivoile : depuis peu, le département Handi- voile ouvre l’accès aux joies de la mer aux personnes souffrant d’un handicap.
The Société des Régates d’Antibes is among the greatest sailing clubs in Europe. It prides itself in actively pro- moting sailing as a sport for all ages.
Sailing School: the Club’s Sailing School is located in the heart of Antibes within a remarkable building, re- spectful of its surroundings. Yearly, it welcomes several thousands of students to train on age-specific equip- ment.
Competition: the SRA’s « Elite » team supports and accompanies promising talents from regional regattas to the highest ranks of international competitions and the Olympic Games.
The Club: the SRA’s most prized assets are its mem- bers: racers, organizers, or both. They contribute by representing the club at races over the Mediterranean and the Atlantic or by welcoming competitors to our prestigious regattas.
Cruising and regatta: a unique and gorgeous haven on the Mediterranean, the Port Vauban harbor ac- commodates the SRA’s flotilla. The 250 ships sail all year around and take part in local regattas along the city’s ramparts as well as in faraway races. For the last 120 years, the SRA has nurtured the spirit of Antibes - Juan les Pins.
Handivoile: the recently created Handivoile depart- ment brings the joys of sailing to people with disabil- ities.
