NOTRE ENVIRONNEMENT TOGETHER LET’S PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT
Si le sujet de l’écoresponsabilité des évènements a été placé pendant longtemps au second plan comme une belle idée peu réaliste, elle s’impose désormais de manière bien réelle. L’essence même d’un évé- nement reste d’être éphémère et donc non durable par définition. Le sujet n’est pas de concevoir dès aujourd’hui un évènement zéro déchet, mais bien de s’engager pour faire évoluer le modèle de notre événement vers une conception plus respectueuse et plus durable. Nous avons donc décidé de mettre en place des solutions pour rendre Les Voiles d’Antibes plus responsables.
UTILISATION DE MATÉRIAUX PLUS RESPECTUEUX
DE L’ENVIRONNEMENT
Au niveau des structures éphémères, il existe au- jourd’hui des alternatives plus pérennes pour éviter les kilomètres de bâches en cristal tendu à chaud fabriquées à partir de dérivés du pétrole avec une empreinte carbone importante et qui finissent rapi- dement à la benne.
Avec notre Partenaire, IG expo, nous avons choisi un nouveau concept pour notre Village : des modules en bois. Les structures en bois sont réutilisables et recyclables. Leur fabrication produit une quantité de déchet infime qui est elle aussi recyclable (chutes de bois). Ces deux points sont des facteurs essentiels aujourd’hui aux vues de la lutte envers le réchauffe- ment climatique.
If the subject of the eco-responsibility of events was for a long time placed in the background as a beau- tiful and unrealistic idea, it is now essential in a very real way. The very essence of an event remains to be ephemeral and therefore not lasting by definition. The subject is not to design zero waste events today, but to commit to changing the model of our events towards a more respectful and sustainable design. We have therefore decided to implement solutions to make Les Voiles d’Antibes more responsible.
USE OF MORE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY MATERIALS
At the level of ephemeral structures, there are now more sustainable alternatives to avoid the kilometers of hot-stretched crystal tarpaulins made from petro- leum derivatives with a significant carbon footprint and which quickly end up in the dumpster.
With our Partner, IG expo, we have chosen a new concept for our Village: wooden modules. Wooden structures are reusable and recyclable. Their manu- facture produces a tiny amount of waste which is also recyclable (wood scraps). These two points are essential factors today in the fight against global warming.
For our printed documents (Official Magazine, Flyers, etc.), with our Partner Dreampix Communication, we have chosen printing on paper with the international FSC label, which promotes ethical and eco-responsible forest management. It rewards ecological, social and economic responsibility. There is a 100% FSC label, to be chosen as a priority, insofar as the paper is made entirely from wood from FSC forests, but also a mixed FSC, for products made from fibers from FSC-certi- fied forests, and recycled materials.
